Description : The time lapse movie shows baby medusa budding from “gonozoid” polyps in a Clytia hemisphaerica polyp colonies. There are two gonozoids in the frame. Several medusa buds are formed in each gonozoid. They are packed under the theca (thin transparent extracellular structure covering the colony) then released (detached) from the gonozoid once they mature.
